To invest in our staff so that they have the skills and abilities to provide the high standards of care that have been set down, and also to provide them with personal development opportunities for mutual gain, whilst ensuring they feel valued as members of a team.

OUR SERVICES

• Bracken Lodge is registered to provide accommodation for up to 10 people aged 21 & over who have learning disabilities, Epilepsy Autism/ASD, Downs Syndrome and physical disabilities. By delivering a range of flexible care and support services we will ensure people with learning disabilities are as independent as possible and connected with their local communities.
• Our staff have been specifically trained and our daily program of activities centre on the needs of those with learning disability. Our facilities have been adapted to ensure we provide a safe and secure environment and we have taken advice from care specialists to ensure our home meets the needs of all our residents.
• From our experience, people who are involved in activities within the community have a greater sense of well-being. To this end, we encourage local people to use our services so that all our residents can retain as many links with friends, neighbours and their community as possible. There are no restrictions or formalities on visiting and people can feel free to entertain their family and friends at any time.
• Our staff spend time listening to those they care for and act upon their requests, this information is all fed back into our advanced care plans and to our activities planning to ensure those that we care for have choice, dignity and respect. All of our staff are friendly, warm hearted and we feel this assists those with learning disabilities to feel happy and relaxed.

Registered Manager

• Sam Appadoo, has more than 13 years experience in the care industry. Since he has joined us, he has raised the level of Bracken and with them, we have been awarded outstanding in caring.

Deputy Manager

• Dalida, has been with Bracken Lodge since May 2000. Dalida is among our pioneer staff as she is with us for nearly two decades. She has always been passionate about caring and her experiences are very valuable to us.
